Happiness Chose Me

When we let down our false pretense we are allowed to experience joy and sensuality, discover our secrets, our unspoken self.

I notice I am happier in the company of people/ oh I joke quite often my plans to escape and make myself a hermit/ escape the crude remarks and disappointments served on my plate/ this pallet that I am forced to develop.

I knew that I signed up for this venue when I bought my ticket/ the tablets blaring and parents shushing their adults in training.

But I am most happy in the arms of those who chose me/ removing my quip to make a decision in the first place.
