It’s not showing off/ choosing a special occasion to make a scene and ruining the moment/ that’s showing off.
It’s not bragging rights/ ok maybe it is. To say you’d done it/ of course/ but to whom. It’s not proving you’re better.
It’s none of those things. The challenge is setting aside the ordinary. It’s that “you time” that you can’t get during sleep.
It’s gratitude for discovering what was yours to get but, something more wonderful demands that you give it back.
Whether it’s the violin/ or in the gym/ a painting/ or a mountain/ all the earth is waiting for you not to be selfish.
