All the Darkness

Tis true since birth, the darkness has long been my friend. The brightest secrets I have ever encompassed arrived from this hollow, a chase to the furthest regions of the imagination where old friends lost visit / with not a thing changed, except how we arrived to it's beginning, all traces of it ever ending vanished into renewed breath.

An old car restored with this life, now a shuttle to rocket pass the moon on your way to a collapsing star and universe you save. Your hands unsoiled by the coarse rock entering your lungs after falling into its despair like water. You look up to find sky like you expected/ a drowning that never occurs/ the host of friends on a voyage that sails the darkness, picking out clouds you dropped, fearful they were left behind, and a hurtful memory berthed. It's whispers lay everywhere in the cloak of dark, and the mind betrays their resting place, these things you'd welcome forgotten.

A stumble upon the shade where draped eyes let loose and run, and a stark flash from pain, dampened by my friend, my hearkened ally, bring concessions to this strained table where the mind must meet.

A sip of something red, and sweet aroma to arouse happier times, an image of beauty recognized as a knowing smile. She always knows, and you go to her, folding your arms around her fully and tell her of all the things you saw before finding her, laying now, her hair a bouquet of all the wonderful darkness.
