Help Us All

COVID-19 has had an impact on our lives since its announcement in December 2019 (the first case stemming back to November). The fallout it is having as it is covered throughout the media is alarming, saying nothing of the efforts of the women and men striving to save lives and keep people safe, and is much more than a Republican or Democratic concern.

Almost every country in the world has been affected by this virus. If you have somehow pigeon-holed this pandemic into two categories, is that not shameful?

This is a world health concern, and the leaders who have experienced this type of crisis before are the ones who should be leading the effort. That we have not pooled these resources and followed them as our advisers is not only a crime it is an affront to humanity.

It is hard not to be selfish during this time, but any leader that places their private political interest ahead of the welfare of their nation is committing an unspeakable act. Even if this novel virus has a 3.4% mortality rate as of March 2020, to dismiss it as if it doesn't exist at all is negligent and not affording the world its chance to get ahead for once and defeat an enemy that is preventable from becoming worst than its foreseeable outcomes.

Let's listen to our epidemiologist and virologist and end this fight in favor of lives before we lose anyone else. If this has to be argued than help us all.
