When Thank You is Never Enough
When you get out there in the snow, you welcome what's coming for you. You're chasing its air, the claim on your senses, the tug of your chest pressing your heart. One mistake and the known dangers become very real. Real like you.
Real moments that I cherish constantly in my mind. Not a substitute, never a substitute. Just the closest I can get across time and distance. When I changed the permissions that made it so, you had to do the same. I imagine it was to protect me as much as it was to protect yourself. But you allowed me to caress the outer banks of your universe, a marvel I dared to draw closer to than the snow. If the reality would have broken me; thank you for allowing me the continuation of its dream.
